School policy for CCA Recognition of External CCA activities.
External CCAs currently available at SHPS are run by parent liaisons and coordinated by Co-Curricular Programme Executive and a teacher liaison at St.Hilda’s Primary. The three CCAs identified for support by the school so far are,
2016 Programmes identified so far
Swimming
Rock Climbing
Others to be decided on a case-by-case basis
External CCA participation can only be recognized by the school if the following conditions are met.
1. Letter of Endorsement from the external organisation to verify your participation in the activities organised. The letter has to be written on the official letterhead paper of the organisation with the Name, BC number, period of involvement and signed by the Person-in-charge (usually the coach).
2. A complete report on attendance and progress of each pupil involved in a particular area over the period of the whole year must be provided. Minimum number of training sessions – 30.
3. A minimum requirement of school/national/international level representation in a particular area. Updates on achievements in that particular field if any should be emailed or handed in to the teacher in charge of External CCAs.
There is no provision for coaches or trainings. Registration fees for National School Championships will also have to be paid by participants. No transportation to these venues will be provided due to the different schedules for each participant. A teacher liaison will accompany pupils only for official sanctioned National School Competitions. Updates for competitions and registration of competitions will be made known to you through our liaison.
All pupils who meet the requirements will have their achievements reflected in their report books. The deadline for collation of the data is 1st October in order to process the information into student’s report books.
If your child is also competing in an activity not listed above, you may write in to inquire if the school is willing to accept a new activity that fits the criteria above. (Eg. Fencing, tennis, etc.)For more info on the External CCA Policy or if you want to include your child in the contact list for the 2 approved CCAs, please contact Mrs Cindy Simon at 6446 7254 or email her at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can email Mr Vai (Head ot PE/CCA) at [email protected] .
God Bless.
